I would first and foremost like to thank Neutrogena for sponsoring this post and providing me with the face masks to try. Although I received the product mentioned below for free, all opinions and views are my own. For more information please see my disclosure policy.
As many of you know, Neutrogena is like THE drugstore skincare brand alongside a few others. That being said, when I got the chance to partner with them for this post (and a few others coming up!) I was super excited about it. Neutrogena has come out with a new mask collection named It’s in the gel. When they say gel…they mean it! Featuring three 100% Hydrogel sheet masks, one clay mask and one overnight gel mask, this collection is really awesome. Neutrogena recommends everyone use the Radiance Boost mask which you can find here while suggesting this Hydro Boost Sheet Mask and Overnight Gel Mask for those with dry skin and the Deep Clean collection featuring a clay mask and a sheet mask for those that want to get a well you know… deeper clean! Retailing at only $2.99, I feel like these masks should be way more expensive. They are such high quality that it shocks me. The first mask that I tried out of this collection was the Deep Clean purifying 100% Hydrogel Mask. I was super curious, I sure you are as well, how a mask can be made out of just gel. Well to cut to the chase, it’s a really awesome face mask. So, this mask, in particular, is infused with seaweed extract to refresh your skin. Each of the sheet masks has innovative technology from South Korea that fuses nourishing essences with a polymer derived from seaweed to form that translucent sheet you can see if you scroll all the way down! Now for the actual review… hello, that’s what we came here for! First of all, like with all Neutrogena products, I absolutely love their packaging. Also, I assumed that their products were going to smell good, but I was wrong…they smelled AMAZING. So, when I first took the mask out of the package, I was afraid that it was going to drip all over and just be a mess. Well, it didn’t drip however it was a little hard to get off the little sheets that they put on the gel side. I eventually got that off and put the two parts on my face. I LOVE the fact that it comes in two parts. It feels like so much easier to put on because you don’t have to worry about it falling off because one part of the face isn’t right. That was really cool because I had never tried a face mask that had two separate parts before. I instantly felt a cooling and relaxing sensation when I put it on. It was perfect for what I was looking for. The gel didn’t slip or fall at all, it stayed in place minus the part about me playing with it, trying to smile and take pictures. After a half hour, I took the mask off and massaged in the remaining product. Now after rereading the package to make sure I got the directions right… I realized that I was supposed to rinse off my face with water afterward. Welp, I didn’t die so I guess I am okay! After rubbing in the product, I felt clean, relaxed, and refreshed. My skin also felt really soft. I’m not going to lie, I REALLY wanted to try the overnight gel mask because I thought it would be super cool and super interesting however at the time I wanted to clean my face because I noticed that I was starting to get quite a few blackheads on my nose and my acne was starting to act up. I will be purchasing the Hydro Boost sheet mask and the overnight gel when it becomes available at my local drug store if it hasn’t already. Overall, I honestly loved this mask. Midway through writing this, I put on another one because I was so excited talking about it. Stay tuned for more Neutrogena fun and if you have any questions about the product feel free to send me a message!
