Hi Everyone! Today I am reviewing the VIICode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for Dark Circles. A few weeks ago, I was contacted by VIICode Skincare and was asked to give my honest opinion of their product. This is a super unique eye mask that you probably haven't heard of before, so I am excited to share it with you!
Disclaimer: Although I was compensated for this post; all thoughts are my own. Below you will find my the good, the bad and the iffy. I would never in any way lie about a product to make money. (For more information you can see my disclosure policy)
TheVIICode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for Dark Circles is an 8-hour overnight treatment mask. It promises to provide your eye skin with “all the essential vitamins, antioxidants, proteins, botanicals, peptides and essential fatty acids,” it needs to be healthy.
It contains ingredients like; grape seed oil which is extremely rich in vitamins as well as fatty acids, seaweed, which helps your skin cells fight free radicals that are produced by exposure to sun and helps to promote hydration, and white tea, which helps the body and skin stay hydrated. These vitamins and fatty acids are used to promote restoration of collagen at the cellular level to minimize the signs of aging and firm your skin. This mask targets dark circles and fine lines and has unique pics of cool gel that conform to your eye shape. How to Use the Mask: The VIIcode eye mask is meant to be worn while asleep for 8-hours. To use them, just remove a pair from the package, pull back the plastic membrane to expose the gel side of the mask, then apply the mask around your eye. The reason why this mask is so interesting is because it is recommended that you sleep with it on and it has a gel-like material. The gel gives a nice cooling and soothing feeling to relax your tired eyes and rejuvenate them while you are asleep. I was advised that if you have trouble sleeping with them on, your uncomfortable or they don’t stay in place, you can wear them for 3-4 hours during the day. You also should store them in the fridge for best results. Now that you know what the product is, how it works and how to use it, let's get on to what I think, shall we? First night The first night I tried these I was really really tired. I had a long day and was so excited to use the mask for the first time. ave them hopefully help with my dark circles. I don’t really have any wrinkles yet (thank goodness) but I have obtained an unpleasant number of dark circles lately that just gotta go! I was a little worried about sleeping too long because I planned on sleeping more than eight hours. I am super busy at the moment, between blogging, school and interning, I don’t get much sleep. That being said, I threw on a pair of these masks and went to bed! When you first put these on, they kind of give you a “cucumber over the eye” sensation because they are cold but to be honest, it feels amazing. I woke up a few times throughout the night, like I always do, to find that the masks hadn’t moved not even a bit! I was shocked. I set an alarm for when I had to take the masks off, so I wouldn’t overuse them and then I went back to bed. I was not about to get up when I could have slept for two more hours! After waking the second time, I was shocked to find how soft the skin under my eyes felt. It felt twice as soft as the rest of my skin. In terms of my dark circles, it didn’t take them away, but I wasn’t expecting them too. They did, however, help quite a bit. I really wanted to give my eyes a little bit of love because they have been through a lot these past few weeks! The first night was pretty successful for me! Second night I tried another pair of the mask two days later because it is suggested that you use them two-three times a week. This time I struggled to wear them for the full 8-hours because it just so happened to be a late night for me and I had to wake up early the next morning. I thought the progress of me using them the second time would be just as great as the first time, however, I was a little off. In terms of hydrating the skin, it definitely passed. In terms of them giving my eyes the pick me up they needed, it passed with flying colors. But in terms of saying goodbye to dark circles, I think I would have to use them for more than a week to really have an opinion of that. TIP: When using these masks, try to avoid using other skincare products around your eye area because it causes them to slip and not stay on as well during the night. Overall Because I didn’t have any real eye concerns other than the occasional dark circles, I really just wanted to use this mask as a pick me up and it did give me what I was looking for. This product retails for $58 on VIIcode’s website which you can find here. You get six packages containing two eye masks each. I think it is a little expensive for an eye mask, however, I’m not sure that you will find this product anywhere else that gives you the hydration, soothing sensation and relaxing feeling that these do. Even though it was a little pricey, these did give me the pick me up that I wanted and helped the skin around my eyes feel softer. As I mentioned above, if you're looking to say goodbye to your fine lines and dark circles for good, you would probably have to use these masks religiously for a few weeks to really see a drastic change. Now until 5/31, you can use my code (HANNAH) to try out any VIICode product for $5 off. Have you ever head or VIICode eye masks? Have you tried any other VIICode product before? Sounds like a great beauty regimen. I need something for dark circles as well. Did it eventually work?
