Is all this cold weather getting you down? Making you not want to do anything but wish spring was here? Every month I come across a few inspirational things and this month I thought that I would share them with you.
Everyone needs a little inspiration from time to time!
The first thing that I want to share is the movie The Greatest Showman. I have been watching this movie on repeat because I absolutely love it.
My favorite song, one that resonates with me pretty clearly is This is Me by Keala Settle. It's such a strong and emotional song and as you can see from the video below, she truly feels it too. This song has stuck with me since the day I downloaded it not because it's so amazing but because of how it makes me feel.
I was not the most popular girl in high school or anywhere near that, I never had many friends, and spent most of my time studying and spending time with my family. I never went out, I never really did anything. (I'm sorry this sounds like the intro to a sad movie.... It gets better) People ask me why I left Vermont and I always say it was to get a "change of scenery" but really, it was to get out and start new. Although high school really sucked for me, it taught me that at the end of the day, the only person that really has you, is you and that you don't need friends and people cheering you on to be successful. You have the power to change your own life and this song, every time I hear it, every time I sing it, it reminds me that it doesn't matter who you are, or where you have come from, what you look like or what you have done. You have the power to be you and you should embrace that and want to show the world that it doesn't matter what they think. This is you.
This movie is just filled with inspiration. If you haven't seen it, I really suggest you check it out!
Some of my favorite movie quotes are:
This is my favorite part of the song. I love it and honestly, it is just an "I don't care what you think of me, this is me and I am proud of it" moment.
Another favorite part of the song is when most of the cast sings, "we are warriors! Yeah, that's what we've become!"
I have learned through trying to create this blog, trying to find journalism internships and more, that you will not get anywhere being like someone else. You need to take chances and find ways to show people what you can do to be successful.
As you can see, this is really my favorite song. If you watched the video above, one of the writers said they knew it was going to be the main song of the movie. I personally have fallen in love with all of the songs in the movie. There isn't one that I don't like (which is weird because normally there is at least one!)
Other Inspiration and Motivation:
I have also found a TON of inspirational posts from social media not related to my favorite movie in the world. Here are some tweets that may give you the inspiration and motivation to finally do something that you have been wanting to do!
As a blogger, graphic designer, and journalist... you don't even understand how many times I hear that what I am doing isn't a job.
You have NO IDEA how upset my mother was with me when she found out I switched from being a pre-med student at a $60k university to become a journalist. She still isn't happy about it but you know what? I am. Every person is different, and just because someone is unhappy at their job and sees you happy in yours, doesn't mean that what you aren't doing isn't a job. Life is to short to be UNHAPPY. If you are spending your life miserable... whats the point?
I mean, do I really need to say more? I think he said enough...
The only thing that is stopping you from doing something is you. Not money, not family, not work, not anything but you. Yes, you probably can't quit your job to go start a food truck business right this second, but you can start. Whether it is doing research, creating recipes, or saving money. You can start and if you start now, you'll be even closer then what you would have been if you did nothing.
I have tried this, and it is so true. Every time I have tried to go to bed and wake up early to do something, I either never get it done on time, or just never get it done period. Putting something off is never the answer to your problems. Do it now. You'll feel better afterward.

I think this tweet carries so much weight. The world needs more love, not less. We need to help each other rather than step on each other's backs to get to the top. Some say it doesn't matter how you get there, as long as you do... but it does matter how you get there if you're destroying others to do it.
Blogger Related Inspiration:
To all my blogger friends, these are for you. I won't be saying much about these tweets because the tweets themselves say it all.
Beth is one of my many favorite U.K bloggers. She is not afraid to tell you what she is thinking and I love it. To all you bloggers out there, as Beth said, You are ultimate bosses!
Lena is also a favorite of mine. Her tweets always have so much inspiration and so much truth and so much motivation. I think you get what I am saying just from these two tweets!
This one isn't actually from March but I thought that it was very inspirational and motivational for all of us that aren't getting 100k views a month like we all want. When you get down, remember why you started writing and why you started your blog. Don't lose sight of what you love and get lost in the numbers on your blog. You are more than what your numbers show.
I hope that this gave you a little motivation and inspiration like it did for me this month. If there is one thing that you should take from this post is that you can do whatever you dream of doing. All you have to do is do it.
